Default cancelling a sky tv subscription....

....anyone got any easy tips on who or how without spending an hour phoning and getting passed around different departments and left on hold before the line gets cut off by the company with the worst customer service in history?

You could do it online - https://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/sk...contactus/kana

Select cancellation from the first drop down list.

Notify them that you will be cancelling your direct debit within 30 days also. Also bear in mind if you cancel and your within a contract period they may either refuse or ask you to pay a large charge.

they really don't like it when you cancel it. the missus had a right barney when we did. they kept offering different packages at different prices. took fookin ages for them to except the act we thought it was'nt worth it. fookin rip off!!

i dont view it as a rip off but paying what we pay for the same old programs over and over has become a bit boring.
and as we have virgin media on the tv's upstairs showing the same stuff already so one has to go.

i did'nt to start with. till the prices went up an it was the same old programmes they were showing. thing that really wound me up with it was the amount of flaming ad break's.

fook know's what package we were on then. i thought it was the family one!

The whole system is set up to make it easy to upgrade but when it comes to canceling its very hard and you get passed from piller to post.

However,There is an easy way

Just call your Bank and cancel the direct debit/Standing order and soon enough you will have sky on the Phone to you offering you what YOU want.

Simples

They WILL contact you yes, but it wont be to offer you anything, they will be more than likely splitting hairs because you havent made the payments

Nice one, i guess theres no point offering someone another package at discounted prices if their moving to a different country huh

Although knowing my luck they would probably say "oh thats fine sir, we have a partner company in the states and we can switch you over immediately" errrr yeah ok, wonderful

i plan to stop the direct debit but only after ive informed them before the next payment so ive given them the 30 days notice. i will block the DD just in case they try to take any more money as i know they are cunts to deal with.

just wait till you want to watch what you want to watch, then, when the ad break is on, do something while putting it on live pause

then, when yuo come back, just ff it a bit till the program starts, then do it again through the next breaks etc etc

works for me
