Default Bad weekend for my vehicles !

Started on Friday night

Was going out for dinner at friends house so naturally called in to supermarket on the way for bottle of wine, soft drinks for kids (& garlic bread to help hostess)
Came out to find Range Rover TD6 2002 which only purchased 3 WEEKS AGO wouldn`t start
Host collected girlfriend & kids & i spent the next hour & a half waiting for tow truck.
By the time i got there meal was over

BUT THATS NOT THE BAD PART
Took cossie out on Sunday on way to Donington for track day Got as far as Tamworth on M42 when...

... cambelt tensioner lock nut came loose & belt jumped
Had to be towed home with no fun day out plus faced with massive bill

Didnt dare get the bike out as its only thing left running

Sometimes i wish i wasn`t into cars

They say things come in threes, so I would recommend driving the car of someone you don't like next .

Bit late for that Mike... I mean Dangerous had a trackday booked at Donno, and so what were we to do.

We couldn't get the ALS to work again after the first hour of constant use. Why was that?

Lee,
Because you're stupid . As I trust Martin implicitely, I left the key in for the ALS, so if you can't figure out how to turn it clock-wise, then you really are as stupid as they say .

and the twisty black knob to the right of the steering wheel - make sure thats jammed clockwise too - actually mike says it runs best if you just pull the hose off the actuator - me and chop found this best last time we had his escort

Martin,
Cant believe you went to all the effort of cutting the lock-wires on the hose to the actuator and then re-wiring it so I wouldn't notice, when unplugging the air-injectors does the same thing . Obviously another stupid person .

LOL whos worse - me for my method or you for giving us your escort - the lockwire came off easy by turning it with plyers anyway means we got to re use it.
