Both are good mags Although its very pro FF round here lately.

I still prefer Performance Ford, but since Dans taken over FF I must admit I do buy that as well now (didnt before)

None of my local shops sell PF anymore, nowhere does, was wondering if it even exists anymore from the last 3 months.

I get PF magazine because I have a sub for it and love it. I don't find any of them here either. Also, I'm sure the PF mag bashers will be on soon..I'm with Simon, I actually do prefer PF, but would like to see what the new FF is like under it's new leader. Besides, most people will like whatever their car is, their mates, uncles, sister, boy/girlfriend, other family members car is in. I would say both are quality mags.

IMHO the tables have turned. FF used to be bodykitted bright orange ERST's and "look at me I have 18" subs" load of arse and PF was about the cars. Recently I think it has turned around, FF is about the cars not the kits, and is a much better mag for it. (not that im bashing PF or saying they suddenly love uber ghey fibreglass wank cars)

PF has gone downhill massively, the writing seems flat and strung out to fill space, rather than filled with facts, figures and technical info (just take the S1 4x4 cossie feature, great car done a huge injustice by incredibly poor writing)

That said, it would be nice for either mag to do write ups on how the cars they feature drive, like EVO does. It is next level in terms of writing ability (just look at the names, 'henry catchpole' springs to mind, if that isnt a public school educated fop then I'm the dali lama ) but it is nevertheless entertaining, and a brilliant read.

Would be nice to see either of the ford mags doing something similar.

Oh, and PF: The DORF? Please, just stop it. It's embarrasing. At least the name "stig" came from somewhere, it has a back story (which is part of what makes it interesting) not just a bad rearrangement of the word ford.

Im a PF man, they have supported the Cossie boys for years whilst FF were a bias pile of poo. FF say they have changed, well they certainly shout the loudest on here via Chip & Dan . I buy both these days because without everyones support they will both die.

WHSmith in birkenhead always have it in. Also if your in West Kirby the Nise garage has it aswell. End of Corporation Road near the roundabout the newsagents have it their. Or ask in a local newsagent am sure they would order it in.

Yappstar exactley what i was thinkin, back in 1998 when FF were doing the bodykits, subs etc Pf was the mag out of the 2 I preferred for the simple fact it was about performance not what the car looked like. For example FF had a grey combat kitted Sapphire with a huge 295bhp while PF had a 400bhp Escort Cosworth on gold Color Rondells...

i said that abotu a year ago mate and was torn to bits for ever suggesting that it was the case (although there were other bits as well )

a lot of peeple have since been "reararnged" at pf and i'm still considering buying a copy at some stage to see if it is as good as they say it is

i'd like to think so as, currently, ff is leagues ahead of what pf used to be like

in fact, if i can't find a copy of redline in the shops today, i'll spend that money on pf, although don't blame me if i come back here and start bitching if it's not as good as you say it is

lads ,

is it just me or do these mags get a bit boring after a while.have been buying both these and a host of av/home theatre/old skool fords mags but have to stop buying every few months as it gets a bit same ol same ol.

you some times even see the same car featured in two different mags.

always trawl through them before i buy now to see if im intrested in what they have THIS MONTH.

Other than your obvious bias what makes you say that?

I can see why you'd say that Dan lol, but I have always preffered PF. I never bought FF until recently (well until you became Ed really), as its become a real good read. I buy both mags every month now

I suppose its logical to think I will always be bias to PF, but I just preffer that mag. No major reason why, just personal preference. Like I've said though, there really isnt much in it. So please dont take my preffering one mag over the other as a dig at you. Far from it. Infact its sort of a compliment, as I went from disliking it, to picking up the odd copy, to buying it each month

Group hug? LOL

he's also hogged a page in this months redline too

bottom line is that when simon was running the show it was a great mag and there was no compitition from pf as it was a bit too stagnant
when dan came along he raised the bar
then pf went into freefall
it's only now that it's starting to climb up the rungs of success but it's still not in the medals, but it's got that bite back in places
