Default 1.8 zvh pistons

which pistons do i need to get,are calibra turbo pistons ok,what compression ratio would it be with standard zetec pistons with the cvh head as ive just read that the compression ratio will be very similar to a standard rst cvh engine

you can't use calibra pistons in a 1.8zvh mate, you can get some pistosn from burtons made by accralite of skim the standard ones a bit.

Mine's a 1.8ZVH. Got the standard pistons skimmed by Area 6. Can't remember the compression ratio!
Got a uprated fuel pump, beige injectors & an MSD setup, peaks at 17psi. That's pushing it tho apparently.
Looked at getting some forged pistons but were expensive from what I remember

ive got a custom inlet manifold to go on plus some beige injectors aswell just got to get a 195chip but until then im just going to run it on my 165 chip and standard injectors

I ran mine with the 195 chip but was advised to get the Evolution chip from MSD as the 195 was for a 1600 engine & a T2 turbo & I obvioulsy had an extra 200cc & a T3 turbo....I'm guessing you could be the same??

i will run it on low boost then until i get another chip then get it all setup together

i've heard you can get to 20psi boost on skimmed pistons, not pushed mine that far, but had no probs on 11psi so far, apart from clutch slip lol!
