Here is a the similar thing a mate and i did to his pinto.
Bike carbs instead of throttle boddies, butn similar sort of spacing problems had to be overcome.

it was in colour, but i copied and pasted it into photo editor and it came out b/w, looks quite good tho!

just spoke to me mate again, and he said he cant weld the plate, so hes gonna counter bore the holes out 4mm and use an O ring then clamp the bodies on.
will still work ok tho
