fitting rear uprated bushes

Default fitting rear uprated bushes

hi everyone, i'm having a little bit of trouble fitting powerflex bushes into the rear beam on my 4x4 saph. do they need to be pressed in? theres no way they'll go in by hand.

Yes mate, they need to be pressed in... will definitely not go in my hand.
I made a tool using PVC pipe and a long bolt/nut and washers.

which ones?

the main beam bushes are easy, pop them out, pop them in
jack under the beam
drop the 3 bolt bracket
let the beam down
big socket on the bush between the body
jack the ca up
sit inside the car and the bush pops out
once it's out, jack the new bush into place, doing the sitting int he car thing to pop it in if neccesary
job done in 15 minutes a side, with a tea break

I used 2 big G clamps and a bit of wood last time the beam was out of the car.

the beam is off the car and just been powdercoated silver and i dont really want to chip all the coating if i can help it,

if it's off the car then things are going to be a bit tricker, even more so if the pwoer coat has covered a bit of the bush

you may need to cut it out in that case,, or burn it out with a blow torch
