Each to their own, but I would recommend avoiding the EBC Grooved discs. They have warped like standard discs on every car I've had them on.
The red stuff ceramic pads are ok, but I'd personally rather use Pagid or Ferodo pads. Try Tarox or Black Diamond discs.
I have an ST170 on standard pads and discs, which get quite a bit of abuse and haven't warped. I am sympathetic with them though, not letting them get too hot. So if you want to drive it to the limit you're probably best going for uprated ones.

They will warp if you sit with your foot on the brake when they are hot. I'm quite conscious of not doing it and try to go easy on them to give them chance to cool if they've had some stick down back roads. I've yet to own a ford that doesn't warp standard discs proabably just me but every one has warped the discs.
My 170 already had slightly warped discs when i got it and it was owned by an old giffer before me. I'm upgrading to some grooved and i think on the focus forums black diamond are the ones that are most popular. I swear by ferodo pads and even the normal ones are an improvement over oe ones and last as long - so far.

Doesn't matter what make discs, put enough heat in them and they will warp, basic fact.
Grooved discs, and drilled/dimpled discs create a sharp edge to the pad every sweep so constantly de glaze the pads, whatever make.
I've used pretty much all the pads over the years, the biggest dissapointment were the ferrodo as they have a total lack of feel.
I wouldn't put greenstuff on a pram let alone a car, but redstuff ceramic and yellowstuff are awsome and what I use, the grooving/drilling will help immensely though with a ,lot less pedal effort being needed, esp with uprated pads, I'd go for redstuff myself on your car.

Keep the ST170 hubs and chuck the calipers and discs, then get direct replacement Wilwood calipers and matching bells and rotors. Quite cheap and effective purchase
Otherwise, AP Racing upgrade
