Hello there.

Fancy restoring my jailbroken 3g back to standard.

How do I go about this keeping all my photos and contacts?

Anyone?

Cheers!

Itunes backs up all photos and contacts when it syncs.

Once sync'd, simply hit restore and itunes will restore it back to 2.2.1... then insert all contacts, messages, photos etc back to the new software.

I personally would wait till wednesday tho (new software release) unless you are desperate to do so now

Restoring from backup will bring over your settings and preferences, but you’ll still have to sync your data to the phone.

Plug it in, press sync and then backup. The click on restore and do a sync afterwards and all *should* be fine! If it isn't you will have the backup to rebuild it from anyway!

Sorted it! Had to use a fresh copy - as everything in "catagories" has been erased, so most of the standard aps!

Anyway, all back to normal, and so much better than a jailbroken one. Just too slow!
