United will NOT struggle.

They will just go and buy Frank Ribery, who I think is a better player than Ronaldo.

He hasn't gone yet but I can't see him being there next season.
I'm sure whatever Sir Alex decides to do will be for the best of the club.

I'm not too fussed either way as I think we've had the best out of him & we can strengthen up our midfield with Ł80m

There getting a boatload of money for him, and will be able to buy 3 world class players with the money, and imo it wont really make that much difference as far as united as a team, they have lost very important players in the past and continued to be a great side. BUT, doesnt matter who they sign, NO ONE will be able to fill his shoes, and bring to there side what he does, theres a reason real madrid are buying him and not the 3 world class players united will buy with the money real are paying for him.

I want him to stay but even at only 24 we've had him for 6 years and probably got the best out of him. He has been the best player by far in England for last few seasons but fuck me Ł80m? Fergie got him at 18 as just a 'potential' and turned him into what he is with a Ł68m profit, not even Wenger does that. Forget bending spoons, Ronaldo is the best and most complete player in the world right now, just has so many good attributes in his locker, pace, skill, shooting, long shots, finishing in the box, weak foot shots, free kicks, heading, crossing, diving lol.

Fergusons had a successful year and brought in loads of prize money even with the interest so hope the Glaziers give him a good Ł100m+ to spend. Ashley Young/Valencia, Hunterlaar/Benzema + Ribery or someone would be awesome. We could probably even sign Hargreaves up for another Ł17m then maybe he'd stay fit.

We don't need any CM players IMO as that's just typical press knee jerk reaction from the Barcelona, no one mentioned them before kick off and they won us a lot, so a good LW, raw striker (number 9) to compliment Rooney and a RW then is needed. Is Freckly Torres for sale, heard the Yanks there are skint?

I've gotta say your wrong there

Anelka bought for Ł500,000 sold for Ł23,000,000 4600% rise.

Ronaldo Bought Ł12,000,000 sold for Ł80,000,000 666% rise.

Sorry mate didn't mean JUST the profit but meant turning him into the player he is as well as what we've had and achieved out of him too. Anelka was good at Arsenal and not bad 'at times' during spells with other clubs but never as good as Ronaldo.

Plus the prices Arsenal pay and the prices United have to pay are different. When United are interested the price goes up as that club knows it can squeeze more.

That's the full sentence not just half of it. ^ But it's true Wenger hasn't had Ł68m profit from a player, ratio/pecentage is something else.

Alex wouldnt want him anyway, he said he was overpriced when he had the chance to sign him for Ł15m a few years back, and whats he worth now, at least three times that ?

I think Fergie should stick a cheeky bid in just to guarantee Benitez blows his top for another season. You reckon mad Masch or Alonso will go to Spain?

The way rafa has set us up skeg, we cant afford to lose masher or xabi, there both vital to the way we play. wether either of them want to go to spain, well, thats a different story, especially in xabis case, its common knowledge that he was willing to let him go last year if he had got barry, and with the signings real madrid are making at the minute, and the fact xabi is spanish, it wouldnt surprise me if he wanted to go.

IMO they could pay Ł200m and it still wouldnt be enough.

No money in the world will get you a better player than Ronaldo, doubt Ribery, Benzema, Alves, Villa would get 25+ goals and how ever many assists if Utd were to sign them.

Furthermore... Barca are going to romp the spanish league again next season so the chances are Real will win very little if anything - they havent got past the 1/4 finals of the champions league for the last 5 years! Bad move for Ronaldo imo. Best of luck to him though, he has done well for Utd.

Ł80m is a hell of a lot of cash for a player who although not unhappy at United has always wanted to play for Real since he was a kid. He had a problem with Van Nistelrooy and his reaction to Ferguson subbing him because he wanted the golden boot award was crazy and could disrupt the team next season with more like that, throwing tops to the floor etc.

We survived Beckham, Keane, Cantona etc and will survive this. Only one that caused us major bother was Schmeichel. Ferguson leaving will do but can't see Ronaldo shaking us up too much. The team will find the goals in different ways just like when everyone said "how will Arsenal cope without Henrys 30 goals". They actually did better.

I'm actually excited as to who we will get. With City, United and Chelsea all having cash to spend Liverpool will struggle to get anyone but no one really knows how it will pan out. Have to laugh at the Sun newspaper though posting a picture of their own paper from a few weeks back saying "we got it right first, told you so". I guess they forgot they've been on about it nearly non stop last 2-3 seasons.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...rst-again.html

Lots of people are saying that Premier league will struggle to hold on to its claim of strongest league in the world with Kaka, Messi and Ronaldo all being in Spain. Real Madrid on Fifa 2010 will be mental.

personally i think its a backward step for Ronaldo; it looks as if Perez is back to his Galatico policy which is a bad move.

Madrid will still score 5 but they'll condeed 6, Perez does not buy defenders as they arent glamourous and dont sell shirts

Ronaldo has gone from a Man U team which is tight in defence to a team which will leak left right and centre.

ronaldo will soon get fed up with not winning; the media pressure in Madrid is x20 worse in footballing terms, his privacy will be no more.

Ronaldo has bsically gone for the weather and the money, simple as that

Make that two champs league winners, and a world cup winner.

Not to mention the couple of African players of the year!
