No money in the world will get you a better player than Ronaldo, doubt Ribery, Benzema, Alves, Villa would get 25+ goals and how ever many assists if Utd were to sign them.
Furthermore... Barca are going to romp the spanish league again next season so the chances are Real will win very little if anything - they havent got past the 1/4 finals of the champions league for the last 5 years! Bad move for Ronaldo imo. Best of luck to him though, he has done well for Utd.
£80m is a hell of a lot of cash for a player who although not unhappy at United has always wanted to play for Real since he was a kid. He had a problem with Van Nistelrooy and his reaction to Ferguson subbing him because he wanted the golden boot award was crazy and could disrupt the team next season with more like that, throwing tops to the floor etc.
We survived Beckham, Keane, Cantona etc and will survive this. Only one that caused us major bother was Schmeichel. Ferguson leaving will do but can't see Ronaldo shaking us up too much. The team will find the goals in different ways just like when everyone said "how will Arsenal cope without Henrys 30 goals". They actually did better.
I'm actually excited as to who we will get. With City, United and Chelsea all having cash to spend Liverpool will struggle to get anyone but no one really knows how it will pan out. Have to laugh at the Sun newspaper though posting a picture of their own paper from a few weeks back saying "we got it right first, told you so". I guess they forgot they've been on about it nearly non stop last 2-3 seasons.

Lots of people are saying that Premier league will struggle to hold on to its claim of strongest league in the world with Kaka, Messi and Ronaldo all being in Spain. Real Madrid on Fifa 2010 will be mental.
