pulled muscle!!

Default pulled muscle!!

i was playing 5 aside footie last nite and pulled a muscle on the front part of my thigh! it hurts like hell!! anybody got a any tips on how to cure it?

Obviously you didnt warm down.
Try do a couple of stretches

some good pain killers will help you relax it, may be sore for a few days.

Not sure if your supposed to get it warm with stuff like deep heat or and ice pack so can only suggest you google it up.

i've done that before mate.... was 6 weeks before i could play again. i just rested it up and took ibuprofin for the first couple of days.

no i didnt warm down to be honest as it was instant pain and couldnt really move my leg. i am just spraying deep heat on it! never really had an injury like this so not sure on how to deal with it. must be getting old!!! lol

hot then cold on it should help. and keep it moving so it doesnt tighten up.

done a muscle in my back the other day for the first time and fuck me did it hurt never felt pain like it, plenty of pain killers done the job for me

Sounds like a tear, so you need to give time for the tissue to recover, i'd expect at least 4-6 weeks before you can play again.

Warming up is really important, i guess you know that now lol.

Loads of ice and compresion for the first few days pal.... strictly no heat or hot baths, (youll cause to muscle to continue bleeding if you do) and after about a week or so some GENTLE massage and mabe some very light stretches (see how you feel). all the best pal
