Sorry to hear this mate, last year I got made redundant twice

First time was from an Alloy wheel refurbishment company (Manager was an arse that couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery) and the 2nd time was from an Engineering company (The 2 Directors had a massive fight and I was stuck in the middle)

Hope you have better luck than me

28,000 redundancies just announced by my employer :-( And a 5% pay cut (although it's voluntary in the UK).

Although I'm not in the selected area - phew!

Twellsie-who you work for mate?

Im an Aerospace engineer in Nuneaton myself, been there 23 years, our work also if real real low,my boss anounsed redundencies about 2 month back but has postponed it for the time being as work is trickling in and there is a better out look.

He did say that my job is safe regardless though, which makes me feel , well, nice and warm.
