Bloody hell, RMT have the users of the tube grabbed by the balls...
I got in to paddington this morning at 7:50 and then HAD TO get the bus, i then got to work at 11 am
got a back ache, my feet hurt and im already tired

buy a motorbike then. Get a seat all to yourself, save money by not going out on the piss after work as well. Works for me, everyone was late due to the strike except me.

to be fair chap, they gotta stand up for what they believe in and need, and this is the best way to do it. They obviously felt like the deals were going nowhere so needed to back them up with a strike...

No offence to anyone who works on the tube, but it's not exactly a badly paid job is it! The average salary for a Tube Driver is Ł40k!!!!

In that case we should be happy we are alive at all if you look at the struggles going on in Africa etc.

Yep, i mean i don't know the in's and out's of it all, but i know what would happen if i went on strike because i wasn't happy with my pay! Why are they allowed to do it? In these tough times where people are out of work and on the breadline they're going on strike because they're not happy with their pay rises?? Absolute piss take. I mean, how long does it take to train up to become a tube driver? Can't be that long surely. Fucking sack half of them who went on strike and give their jobs to people who would be grateful for them. That's my slightly blinkered view anyway! I just can't agree with people who fold their arms and say 'not doing it' when they're not happy about something. How old are you, 5?!?!?!

Because of strength in numbers, and unions. They are good against arse bosses, but in this case its for a pay rise larger than normal, and all they do is force the employers into agreeing by causing caos. Exactly like a claims direct/injury lawers 4u blah blah, they whisper in your ear if you do this you will get more money, even if its not right or in the long term will raise costs.
It will only cause future contracts for tube workers to include clauses which will state no pay rise will be above a certain amount and not allow striking or whatever, and making it not as nice a job, because those now who as said above are not badly paid want to squeeze a bit more out.

Stop whinging ! you only did 5 and a half hours of work today , you spent the rest of it exercising and being chauffer driven around
I never use public transport but i do think the whole strike effort is fucking stupid , if you dont like your job/pay , fuck off and do something else .......... oh you cant as theres not enough jobs as it is .
