Is it still okay to drive?
Because obviously I need to drive it to wherever I'm going to take it.
Seems to be okay on the road, just not that good when stationary.

When stationary it won't tick over, just splutters and stops.
Better when cold than after being driven.
Fair bit of smoke on start up and when running, but it's whiteish and not blue.

from your discription , i would guess at head gasket leaking water into the bores or bore , or maybee the gaskets totally fooked and letting both water and oil in but i would have thought there would be more obvious signs like rapidly losing water from the expansion tank

That's what I thought initially but I took it to a "specialist" to get it sorted professionally.

I just started it from cold.
To start off with no smoke at all, then the longer it runs the more smoke that is produced, the smoke is more grey than blue, but there's a fair bit of it. It does get darker too the longer it runs.
Please see photos below, don't know if they help at all.
Thanks for looking.

Yeah Brad's a top man for making that generous offer, just don't know where he's based.
Everyone is saying good things about SCC and Steve so maybe I'll take it there.
Thanks

Everyone on heres car will be smoking white somewhat with bloody freezing ambients guys So will your kettle if you go and boil it... more so in a cold kitchen than a hot one eh?
If your not personally confident with someone's diagnosis, i can personally recomend Steve and Rob at SCC as being close to you and will look after you.

i was just thinking that, mine looks like that every morning when it's started from cold, and i know mines not fooked. that picture doesn't look like anything bad to me.
could it just be overfuelling badly or would that be more black ?
