I'm downloading a 1.5gig file using G3 Torrent, which shows me who exactly i'm connected to and how much they have downloaded of the torrent (amongst other things). On guy from Greece i'm downloading from at a very healthy speed but it shows that he has 0% of the file. As i've already downloaded a lot of the file I don't want some fake garbled downloaded spoiling the rest of it!

Is it a problem with torrent? (it says he is using BitTorrent client but this cant be faked)

I wouldnt go with what clients tell you especially the G3 client...It's regarded as the worst client to have as it's a leechers dream. U can set it to upload nothing back and disconnect from the torrent when u reach 100% U can also set it to spoof another client like Bit Tornado, Azuerus etc so people dont know what client your really using

In my own defence it's that or nothing, as I share my house with two mates and our work requires the net all day.. With 1MBit download and only 128k upload if I don't limit the upstream it makes the internet un-useable for everyone.

Anyway, downloaded 400mb off the guy now so it had best be ok!

phil, you can cap the upstream with all of them, you just cant turn it OFF

i have 128k upload...

i set my upload speed to 3kb/sec per torrent, and max of 3 torrents (so 9kb/sec max upload) and i get green ratings off everyone, even at that slow speed, and it doesnt saturate the conection AT ALL...

leechers (like you ) piss me right off... lol
