A question...who thinks i should for fun...
Put the GT35 on my engine at present using the swedish plenum and 8 greys and air injectors and dyno it just to see whats possible from a highish comp motor????.....Been told to do this although i got eyes on a brand new crank to whip in as mine has oversized bearings and may be of concern........do you think std con rods would handle it????I can then see what bd10's do and whip in some other ones to test...i was going lo comp but i might aswell blow this up first as its only done 1100miles and is more than capable....and i do love the driving off boost on hi comp....will this fuck the top speed run up running hi comp as i been told with the right cams it could still make 600bhp

Please explain the point in this post? We all know that what-ever anyone says, you will do what you "think" is best anyway .
However, if you can afford the engine, then yes do it, as it will show you the inherent problems with that kind of compression ratio and standad rod length. You could probably get away with higher than normal c/r if you were prepared to run longer rods, otherwise it will let go.
I have no problem with your choice, as I'll just be driving it, not footing the bill for WHEN it goes bang (if you use high comp for a top speed run on pump fuel) .

Apparently Mike there is NO problems running it like this..and this comes from an "adequate" tuners mouth ...Apparently the Norris designs Cossie was higher comp than mine and i think it also retained the std bottom end??....do you feel std con rods can handle this BHP?

Phil,
I have no doubt what-so-ever, that on the dyno you could get high comp standard rods to make the power. Stick the engine in the car and hold it flat out at nearly 200mph and I don't think high comp engine will last on standard rod length.
I think you will find that the Norris car will use very high octance race fuel when it does it's top speed runs, whereas you are adamant about using pump fuel? Hence my advice .

...maybe i will use race fuel then to be safe
AS actually it wont be cheating as it WONT be mapped on race fuel...only Optimax...so if i use it it wont give more BHP will it just safety as the ecu will assume is optimax???
