Default Many Thanks to the people that attented croft 2009

Just a quick thanks to all the people track / public / show etc who attended croft.

We understand a little frustating and the patience of people was awesome.

I thought it was better than expected in what was going to be a quiet year - simular amount of heads through the gates

THANKS People

Onwards and upwards for next year - talks in progress for a ful noise day - not sure on what we can pull off - full weekend or just a sunday but it will be a massive event next year.

Had a fantastic weekend on track as usual, major brake problems on saturday meant I had to strip/repair the front brakes 4 times but I never missed a session all weekend. the rain on sat morning just helped me learn how to handle the car even more and really enjoyed it,took claire emmerson out as passenger in my first session in the wet and I think from her screams she enjoyed it! once it dried out and I put my new slicks on it transformed the car, the grip was stunning.

sunday

no brake problems apart from pads getting low (but they got me to the end)
was dry on track for nearly every session, the last one was wet with a drying track meant that I chose to stay on slicks which was scary especially after seeing the escort hit the barriers due to being on slicks in the wet.
overall an excellent weekend well organised with some great spirit in the pit garages.

only down side for me is people still running car engines at 2 am and fireworks at the same time. but lets not let that spoil a supreb event.

steve

As always mate

Was brilliant, Lukey boy with me was all dizzy being so far North but he loved it, so did Ade the snapper. Neither had been before so they wasn't sure what to expect.

The days a credit to an awful lot of hard work by people like yourself, Dave, Scott and right through the RS groups. Well done all!!

Me and Luke were Croft virgins, so it was good to finally see what it was all about.

Some cracking cars, a great atmosphere and some proper-exciting track action, especially liked seeing the Fiestas sliding around! We had to show some restraint in our Zetec S on the way home!

Again though, thanks to the Derby and Durham guys for making it happen, it was a cracking event. Expect the full report in PF soon!

Cheers,

Chris

It was a mint session Steve, coming round tower broad sideways looking out of my passenger window up the track just made my day on Saturday, it was great fun, thanks for taking me out

I had a great weekend, really nervous on Saturday as I hate driving in the rain but after I was out for a few laps that soon disappeared. Best session for me was last one on Saturday, little Tange was flying

The fun and antics with the AG Team on Saturday night was mint, cheers guys for a great laugh

Oh and highlight of the weekend for me was the passenger ride out with Andrew in the Focus. Seriously seriously enjoyed every second of it. I was totally gutted when I saw the chequered flag as I could have sat in there all day lol Awesome car and awesome driver Thank you

Really happy everyone seems to have enjoyed it, roll on next year

Im pleased the sun was out from sat afternoon and all day sun as when i got there fri at 5ish it was chucking it down all nite!

Can't wait till next year, then i can drink and go on track! LOL

Had a fantastic weekend, The fiesta took my abuse all weekend with only a snapped alternator wire and split hose, which were quicky mended (cheers AG , and Kirky )

The wet weather really showed up a few areas which need improveing (tyres and suspension)

Even managed to help a few peoplle pass the noise regs and could have made a tidy profit had i made more

Cheers to the Durham and Derbyshire groups for holding yet another fantastic weekend

Brian

As above , great weekend, The 3 door just seems to go on and on , all i had to do all weekend was tighten a jubilee clip from the rad top hose and put half a pint of water in it.
Who says cossies aint reliable lol.

As for the few loons on sat night ,they got what they deserved, wasnt as if we wernt warned !

Well done to all involved , top weekend .
I only got a little frustrated on the sunday(sorry steve) as i was busting to get out on track and it just seemed to take forever between sesions . But do understand why.
Show was spot on as per usual , stands where good quality cars .

Cant believe how well most people handled the changing conditionson track with so few mishaps, well done to all

I only got home at 6.30pm this evening.I'd like to thank everyone who helped to plan and run the weekend. It was brillant as usual and well worth the trip over. The camaraderie between all the track entrants in the pit garages was great.Even the weather was good and dry after the wet start on Saturday morning.Roll on next year!! only made it to sunday & it was a great day
the track & 0-60 seamed a little slow due to the 15min on 15 min off due to the noise but everyone got on with it & had a good day

hope you sort a full noise day for next year
that would make a great show even better
