hello there new to the site. going to buying my 2nd ford going for a s2. was just wondering what to look out for ie coman faults etc like rust

ta mate just before i go buy one and find a coman obviouse problem and get laughed at lol bar they rust i dont realy no a great deal more

 

Common Faults? Everything! Wicked car when it does work though! Check the floorpans for rust mate and rear chassis rails there very common to go. Welcome to the site and let us no how you get on

 

Look for rust! everywhere!

 

cheers mate a knew they were bad for rust most fords are supose. not to sure what the engin is like faults wise. will probly be a couple month before i go get my self one just wanted to get kinda clued up before i go for one. just need to try get insurance sorted as am only 19. my gf brother had one when he was 18 insured threw his mum for 800 with aidrian flux failing them its going to be a c#nt to find some cheap enuff

 

Got my first one at 19 an insured it myself an it was Ł1400 tpft

sound mate 2 years ncb aswell? clean liecence. also was lookin to pay 2000 to 2500 for my rst would i get a clean one for that or would i have to put my to my monies
