Maybe you could drive around on a really hot day and sue BMW for heatstroke! Where there's blame...

Blower will be the heater resistor they are about £80 quid also known as the hedgehog very common.

2nd fault is most likley the pre supply pump on the floor also very common or a injector either way you will need to get a diagnostic test for this if the fault comes up for fuel pressure regulator or low fuel pressure its defo the pre supply pump

Im not a expert but i work with them every day in life.

The cam sensor would bring a eml light on most times the lift pump dosent.

A way to check if its a injector is clamp the end of the spill pipe hose & take the hoses off if it trickles out the top the injector is ok if it poures out really bad that injector is fucked.

I think you guessed and it just hasnt re-appeared - yet,

Cam and crank phase is a serious emissions related issue, mil would certainly be illuminated.

I did say most times but the light will almost certanly come on with a cam, crank sensor if the fault is not currently present the light will go out but in the diagnostic print out it will say it has occured so many times but fault currently not present..

I work for a bmw dealership with upwards 45 cars in per day so see a fair few.

Yes mate although i stand by my statment if its hesitating when your driving & it was the crank sensor the light eml light would come on. Knowing how bad these cars are i would get someone to check the ppre supply pump if it turns out to be that replace the fuel filter as well. dont be fooled by how mych fuel comes out the pump there was a x5 inn andy gallachers that was pumping fuel out & looked mint but wouldnt rev much past 2.5k turned out to be the pump. They are that bad for going we have one in the workshop that we try first before fitting one because the fault codes dont always lead you to the pump

What year is your car ? the pump is under the panneling in the floor depending on what year the filter is i the engine bay in the early models or in the later models the filter is in line with the pump on the floor.

Plastic panneling next to the chassis leg round about the gearbox tunnell. Would have a quick test done to the car tho my work charges £45 + vat for the initial diagnostic quick test. Not sure what a dealership near you would charge they vary.

Defo not the crank sensor then as that will always log a fault even if its not present.
yeah thats correct the early cars have the fuel filter in the engine bay my bet would be the pre supply pump think they are about £250-£300 out a dealership not sure about a factors tho im sure euro car parts will do it alot cheaper
