Default Any ideas on a decent family car?

Its come to point where am going to need a bigger car just to run round in as expectin a baby,dont really want to pay to much about 3k was thinkin along the lines of a mondeo st,or a vectra any ideas or advice appreciated?

Have just had an idea,could sell the s1 add that to the 3k and get a saph cos,but just how reliable it would be day to day though?

get the saff! proper family car and can even get a bit more income by doing taxi runs on the side!!

Audi

I'm chuffed to bits with my A4. Comfy, reliable, well nailed together and so easy to drive. Even though I got an estate it doesn't look too bad either. Only thing is I really wished we'd got a bigger engined one now

cheers for your ideas guys,hadn`t really thought about a audi but just had a look in trader and some decent ones in for quite good money,would like bmw but think bit out of price range for second car,so either audi,st24 or vectra hmmmm

your not gonna get a e39 for 3k tho and if he sold his s1 and added it to the price it would still be hard to pick up one that ain't done well over 150kmiles. good cars tho,i like them

look in to mondeos mate, you can pick up a good one for 3k,my dad brought a t reg 2.0 gear,well spec'd car and was about 2.5k at the time.good car tho

Go for a Mondy 2.0L can't go wrong! Superb all round car. Dirt cheap to run and buy!
