I have a s1 rs turbo which came with a diaphram dump valve, i changed it to a bailey twin piston. and 4 some reason on idle it kept cuting out, when i changed it back it was fine. any ideas why it was doing this.

R u sure it's a twin piston type DV26(I believe) as it sounds that it's a DV24.. which do affect the idle on cars running fuel metering units, failing that diaphram could be split or do as above also

easy way to check on the Bailey is to take it off and look inside the bottom DV26 ones for the Rs turbo have a piston in the middle the other one DONT and will not idle on rst's
