Looks good and very clear, but i personally dont see the point of cctv in many cases. It wont stop them nicking things if your out. It 'may' be a deterant if its visible but most wont care if theres cctv their or not in my opinion. There may be small chance they could get caught if its used as evidence, but in most cases that wont be clear cut so they'd more than likely get away with it.

It might be better at night if its triggered by motion sensors and an alarm sounds to wake you or something. Then you might be able to catch the tossers in the act.

Best security measure for when your home, is a security light with the bulb removed, which sounds an alarm inside so you can hear it but they cant, then grab your 9 iron and have some fun.

Martin - been looking on the y3k.com site - can you tell me or PM which cameras you used in your install please?

My mate got broken into yesterday and wants me to setup a system like yours.

Nice setup that, I wouldnt recommend wiring up the motion sensors to a shotgun, you will only forget to disarm it once

Or the royal mail will want to know why their employee of the week is lying dead at your front door

On the off chance that you might recognise them then yes. And thats if they dont have their hoods up and or their faces covered which they more than likely will have most of the time.
