Course it's sunderland, him and Quinn are buddies! Strach was the one that helped orginise Keane's move to Sunderland....

Sunderland would be an option, although he'd do far better at Chelsea IMO.

Both Martin O Neil and Strach have proved that if they walk into a quality squad they can win things, that's all you need and that's what Chelsea need, unless they can convince the special one to return. The best Gordan could hope for at Sunderland would be escaping the drop on Survival Sunday in a years time.

Didn't see that coming, but i guess he has to go before he's sacked, same as JC @ Aberdeen. Not sure i really rate him that highly as a manager, they have alot of moey at their disposal and didn't really achiveve anything outside of the SPL.

lol im just trying to antagonise....

in all seriousness martin o neill has not had a good season in the prem this year and strachan will just send sunderland down.

managers of the top two in scotland are middle of the road managers in england at best.

all though the best manager to have lived is scottish lol.

Lol,I agree!
I don't think the SPL is particulaly fantastic, the gap between celtic/rangers and the rest of the league is all down to ŁŁŁŁ.

Bit off topic and i'm not a villa fan, but how do you work that out? He has a TINY squad. Very good achievement for Villa, shame they didnt hang on for fourth but nobody expected it anyway. He has done as much as anyone could do with Villa

I used to say Paul Le Guen was the best thing to happen to Celtic Football club.

Remember, when Strach took over Rangers were in the shit financially and Alex McLeish had no money to spend, the Le Guen totally fucked them up.... Walter Smith has rebuilt Rangers into a decent team, capable of challenging Celtic. I reckon they'd have taken the League last year had it not been for their impressive run in Europe, which I hated every minute of

Strach really hasn't done THAT much as manager. He won the leauge 3 times in a row when Rangers were fannying about, as soon as they were challenged they folded, just like the huns did last year..... Only without the Uefa Cup final as a decent excuse

I reckon Mouriniho will come to prove he can win the Champions League with anyone except Chelsea

im glad as a villa fan youre pleased again with europe and not the champions league that he ruined youre season to try to get to.

How a team can go from what you was the first half to what you become in the second is beyond me.

And then not even apolagise to the supporters for a massive error of judgement in the uefa cup.

and after messing that up he finishes in the cup he belittled in the same year.

i like martin oneill i just think he didnt do as well as he should have this year.

roy hodgson and the great harry redknapp are the ones that should be congratulated this year!

Words 5-9 in my post

I am a Palace fan, have (quite) a few mates who are season ticket holders. However I am not shortsighted enough to understand that they massively overachieved in the first part of the season, most of the Villa fans I know understand the same, and are glad the club is healthy financially and finished where they did. There are plenty of teams with more cash and bigger squads below them, and no teams with less cash and smaller squads above them

Everton have a smaller squad, half of which is made up with virtually untried youth (before this season), and have nowhere near as much money as Villa...

have arsenal spent as much as them in the last few seasons?

Randy came in with quite a cash injection.

Everton havent done bad cash wise either.

i sort of can see where youre coming from but the bloke handled the situation terribly.

oh and sorry mate when i read it i thought it said you was a villa fan.

oh and if he massively overachieved the first half he must have massively underachieved the second..

If i go into work and for 6 months my boss does really well but loses the company the amount of money he has in the second he would be out on his arse surely.

Why did the Celtic fans not take to Gordon Strachan. 3 titles in a row ain't bad. Wonder if Roy Keane would have taken the job if he wasn't at Ipswich.

Everton yes, I'd say they have a bigger squad but in the season they had loads of injuries. David Moyes never ceases to amaze.

As for ebonycossie - Arsenal.......pay more wages, have more cash to spend but wont ( IMO cant as they spunked too much on the stadium ) and yes you could say MON underachieved second half, but he's judged at the end of the season as a whole, not like your gaffer who like me and you is only as good as last months numbers. Randy didnt come in and spend loads at the Villa, in fact MON is like Wenger and seems to not to want to spend cash they are offered by chairmen!

Back on Topic now, I think Strachan is middle of the road Prem at best, like the rest of Scottish football

[QUOTE=Ebonycossie4x4;4171757]keanos too ambitious for that

Come to think of it, yeah your right. The only things that may have taken him there would have been possible champions league football, and it's his boyhood club

ROFL, your probably right on ONE factor, aberdeen die hard fans love an old faithful to be associated with the team. On the other hand it's all a load of bollocks because that's the kind of thing that has fucked them in the past, association with 80's good players who are shit managers.
TBH alot of afc fans have their head in the coluds, there's no way they can get a manager that will win ANYTHING without spending ŁŁŁ, they seem to think it's possible to employ someone with a golden touch and spend pennies, if any club can do that they would have already!

i dont really rate him tbh, celtics championship winning lead has been dwindling each year theyve won under him until they finally lost this year. hes wasted quite a bit of cash on donkeys as well and hes always been an arrogant coont when dealing with the media . ive not yet heard of a celtic supporter thats sorry to see him go.

Quick Reply: gordon strachan resigns - celtic manager
