Smile VIC testing

bought a salvage fiesta that just needs an inner wing and strut

now i need to travel up to darlington from scarborough to get to the nearest VOSA centre.

does anyone have any experience in this field at all?

direct.gov say the vehicle has to be repaired.......now does that involve putting all new wings and bonnet on etc or are they just looking to see if the car is what it should be and that the structural work has been done?

any help is gladly accepted as it gonna become a little project but i was hoping to get the V5 problem sorted first so i could get on with the rest knowing its sorted.

thanks fella's

There is a Vosa Centre at Beverly mate, no need to go all the way to darlington. Thats if beverly is closer to you. i took a car the other week.literally ten minutes. Check the vin check the chassis, you can take it them not fully repaired as said, Dont think they like it if its still smashed up as theoretically you could then ring it.

You have to book it by aplication, they will then contact you to book it, i did one with my debit card, Ł41 iirc, and thats it. They just make sure you havnt rung another car by checking the vin etc, thats it. You get a vic pass and a v5 aplication form.
