Alonso Gone To Ferrari?
I'm not usually one to believe what I read in the news of the world, but this seems to be a cast iron report rather than the usual speculation
Alonso has reportedly signed for Ferrari for 20mil/year
With him not having said a word to Ron Dennis since Hungary i'm inclined to believe it. I also seriously doubt he'd go anywhere else either, red bull and toyota also showed interest in signing him.
I've checked the ITV F1 website but theres nothing on there.
Button and Rosberg are favourites to replace him at McLaren, but Massa will also be looking for a new team so theres another possibility.
I personally would love to see Button get a drive in a decent car so we can see what he is capable of, he's wasted at Honda.
As for Alonso, good riddance, complete and utter tosser
Imagine the battles between alonso and hamilton we'll be seeing next year without the dreaded 'team orders' getting in the way!

alonso is an utter cock. yes he won 2 drivers championships but that doesnt give you preferencial treatment over your team mate. at a new team hes has to earn the right just the same as hamilton had to all his life. be good to see button in a decent car for once, honda just havent got what it takes to make him a title contender.
and as for raikonnen...what a miserable bastard!!!!

i very much doubt he will get a seat at ferrari, i reckon after the way he has been behaving at Mclaren he will be a team mangers nightmare when paried with a fast teamate so they will be very reluctant to hire him incase he doesnt play the team game.
I reckon he will go back to Renault
How long is Button signed up with Honda? I thought when he bought his way out the williams drive he was signed with honda for 5 years.

This rumor was started because Alonso was busy doing the rounds in Spa and was spotted at a few garages such as Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, which can only be seen as a courtesy call, rather than something serious. At the same time the sharp-eyed observers will have seen Felipe Massa visiting Toyota.
Alonso has a three year contract with Mclaren although his attempts to bribe Ron Dennis into making him number one has created a great deal of tension, its also worth remembering that Ferrari has another year to run on Massa's contract and Kimi's..... Its also worth noting that Massa is managed by Nicolas Todt - The Ferrari group manager Jean Todt's son as is another Todt Jr protege - Luca Filippi - who is now being mentioned as a next years Ferrari test driver
Obvious Ralf Schumi is yet to be resigned at Toyota and this leave a space available for a decent driver,it would be financially desirable to be number one in Toyota for Massa but also career suicide as they have not established the ability to win yet or mount a challenge for the title... Would he want to go there ?
Obviously selling Alonso's contract would free up some much needed cash for McLaren's fine however considering BMW have already attempted to secure Alonso for next year and failed, the assumption must be based on how poor the relationship is between Mclaren and Alonso...Winning the world championship can fix problems encountered over the year.
Having number 1 on your car brings a lot of media interest which Mclaren may need next year as they are not up the sharp end of the grid.
Guess only time will tell, I can't see it myself

I'd be fucking suprised if Alonso went to Ferrari! I just hope the cunt doesn't get a drive!
Why is Massa on his way? He's Schumi's boy, Schumacher won't turn his back on Massa or Ferrari!

The option I can see, is if Renault buy him out of his contract.

Jenson and Lewis at McLaren would be a disaster for the team!
Lets not beat about the bush. Fernando stopped helping Lewis' side of the garage on set up after Hungary. And all of a sudden Lewis is being outperformed. And even better/worse he's whining about Nando's move a the start of the Belgian. Completely ignoring the fact that a) its racing and b) he's not always given the people he's passing that much room. (which is fair but people in glass houses...) Jenson is an overated son of a pikey. You could put him in a Ferrari and he'd struggle to win. He hasnt got the technical depth to do well. Which is why Honda havent really progressed up the field this year despite having a massive budget.
When FA wins this years drivers championship. McLaren will put their differences behind them. And he will stay for at least 08. Realistically where else would he go? Ferrari? Possible, he does actually like Kimi but he really really wants No 1 status (as all WDC's do) Renault? Most likely if he does move but he wont win championships there for a few years. Can he wait? BMW have 2 drivers signed Williams? Not about to start winning. and so on down the field.
Crucially though Ron would only release him IF there was a suitable replacement availiable with no "buy out" fee. And to be blunt there isnt anybody in the lower classes that are good enough to justify a rookie.
On a side note. Apparently Ferrari bosses are thinking about moving Todt on to other activities and bringing Ross back in as Boss. If Jean does go it does jeopadise Massa's links to a seat via his manager Nicolas Todt. I stand to be corrected but FM may be under option for next year.

I hope the cunt doesn't get a drive at all!
Certainly not for Ferrari - I will no longer be a supporter if he does. I very doubt this is true though
Renault are the only team that will take the cunt now.

Why would any respectable team want Mark Webber? To quote a mate of mine. "He can't even drive a finger up his arse!" Better than average qualifier. Below Average Sunday driver.
As for Aguri being the "Comedy team" They do so well that Honda didnt give them any upgraded wings at Spa because they knew theyd get passed by them. (As it turned out Sato still passed them!)

barachello did a blinder when he went from 19th to win a race back in the day so it shows he can pilot a car fairly well
i've always maintained that the cars should be the cars and the drivers should be the drivers, and the only way to make sure who was the best driver would be to swap them about during the season from race to race between the teams
you get the teams to pile all their resources into one lump sum so that all the money they would pay their drivers would be given over and all the money they'd pay their teams would be somewhere else and you'd have different teams working on different cars with different drivers
that way, the "team" that won wouldn't neccesarily be the team that had the biggest budget or the fastest car or the quiest pit stop or whatever, it would be determinted by who was the best driver who got the best performance out of his car and team over the season
and you would base your fee per team and per driver upon their sucess, so you'd get a basic salary depending on what poisiotn you were in and then you've have a winners bonus based on teh amount of points acrused during the season, so if you were with fearari as a lllipop man for a race and they had a 1, 2 finish you've get 18 points worth of bonus and if you were with spiker and they get the same reslut (because they had the best drivers and crew even if they were in the shitteist cars) you'd still get your same amount of points bonus

BBC reporting possible move to Renault, with Heidfeld going to McLaren, with Fischella being shown the door
Also reporting that Kovalainen isnt sure if he's done enough to keep his place at Renault, i personally think he's had a cracking first season, and the WDC should speak for itself

i hope that jenson does get a drive at mcclaren, but a german driver may be required by mercedes
will mcclaren be able to use the number 1 and 2 next year? they should, as one of their drivers will win the drivers championship, but as they are excluded from the constructors, how will that work?
