Some car windows only have the one touch going down but not up, safety feature i suppose if you don't have the sensors to tell whether a kid's fingers are away to get crushed, instead you physically have to do it yourself

Don't know if the Mondeo is supposed to have it going up too though...

well, they used to, now i've been fiddlin with it they don't

but they still close when you press the alarm button, just not when you press the switch, damn modern cars, why didn't they just stick to sliding windows

On Vauxhall's & Merc's you have to send the window all the way down then all the way up but keep hold of the button until you hear a faint "click", that resets the motor.

My mondeo did the same when i had the battery disconnected. All used to go up and down with one touch.

I dont know the exact way to make them do it again. I just messed by holding it down and up and stuff and after a week or so they all go up and down in one touch. I managed to get 3 of them to do it quickly but one of the back windows took ages.

sussed it out, i was being thick

to reset the windows, start the car, engine running etc
apply finger to switch to lower window to fully opened position
remove finger from switch
apply finger to switch AGAIN to lower window (remember, the glass should be situated at it's fully opened position) and hold down for 5-10 seconds
remove finger from switch
apply finger to switch to raise window to fully closed position
remove finger from switch
apply finger to switch AGAIN to raise window (remember, the glass should be situated in it's fully closed position) and hold down for 5-10 seconds
repeat procedure for all windows
repeat procedure for sunfoor

when locking the vehicle with the remote, keep finger/thumb applied to "lock" button for a few seconds after the second deadlock press to close all windows

when unlocking vehicle with the remote, keep finger/thumb applied to "unlock" button for a few seconds to open all windows

once the windows are in motion, you may remove finger/thumb from remote operating device widget
