Who finds texting annoying
I gets loads of texts which I usually dont reply to,I got one yesterday from someone off this site aksing me to call "them" back about something they wanted to buy
in all my time I always thought if you wanted to buy something it was up to YOU to call and not the seller
i just cant get my head around some things, must be getting old,
and to top it off I text back saying "you have my number call it"
anyway rant over anyone got any silly texts stories

Hate texts with a passion, I refuse to answer them usually.
I can ring my mates to ask if they are going to the pub and confirm time and place in 20 seconds. But by text it takes ages in comparison.
Im just a grumpy twat

Hate texting/MSN if it's a serious or normal conversation, because, as said above, you can't interpret the tone of the other person, and things can be taken the wrong way, and cause arguments.
They are fine for telling jokes, or being dirty with the missus
Hate folk who text and say "ok" - what a waste of time/money. Just reply if you're "not ok" with whatever was said in the previous text.

It's not easier. I can text you and say 'What time?' and not disturb you. Then, when you are free you can reply, and when I am free, I can read it. It's way more convenient.

I text friends and the misses rather than call, get the message over without listening to waffle!!
I got texts when selling my S1 years ago and most said
"WOT BHP IS IT"
That was all they texted, I just saved "ONE MILLION BHP" on speed text lol!!

im a big fan of texts as i find them alot less rude than a phone call! i see a phone call as "TALK TO ME NOW" where as a text is a reply if you want type of affair!
but i would never send a text saying "call me" thats so wrong LOL

Cheeky bastard. I was the same mate, I went in threatning to cancel the contract via my bank and was given a Ł30 phone to tie me over. It broke again and they said I had a phone from last time. I said it broke, and they gave me another Ł30 phone. It's now broke for the third time. I think your right, it must be my cumberland sausage's

Texts are much quicker and easier, especially when your busy and your not sure if the other person could pick up a call while at work etc. Remember that in the real world, people cant always pick up a call. Obviously for urgent stuff, you ring, but for everything else a text is far better. I sent well over a 1000 a month. Move with the times people.
I agree about the texts when your selling something though. I wont put my self out to text back or ring back total strangers that wont to buy something from me. There usually the timewasters anyway.
I had one the other day saying, 'please call me about the bike, this is my number', so i just forwarded the same text back to him. Its even worse when you get an email saying 'please email me back about the bike, as i want to know a few things about it'. WTF!!!!! Why the hell wouldnt they email me the questions the first time round the bloody wierdo's!

not saying it's right to ask you to call, but do you not think it would be be excellent customer service to do so?
maybe they are on pay as you go and have low credit or something, wouldn't surprise me for your typical ford owner who it seems can barely afford the basics in life but can somehow afford to spend out on their pride and joy

ever heard of the phrase 'the customer is king'? i guess your business is good enough that you don't need to give excellent customer service and can just sit back and wait for the call.

but texing someone to call them back now thats pittyfull,Ive even had calls asking me to call them back,if they cany afford a phone call they cant afford the item
proove that with this joker who texted me,obviously a time waster
texting has its advantages,we have to accept that, sending a message if someone is unavailabe or recieving one if ina meeting or something when you cant answe your phone, but talk is cheap nowerdays
1 phone call can sort soemthing out in 30 secs rather than 10 texts, which take far far longer
