Default ERST Brake Upgrades.

Is it better upgrading the fronts on an Escort or changing the backs to disks?
If doing the backs is it ideal to keep the load sensors or what ever you call them on the back.

Very good questions mate.

Im looking at doing mine ASAP.

I am going to remove the ABS and pripe up with Braided hoses, drums at back, reconned (new wheel cylinders etc etc), and s2 calipers woith 2wd disks at the front I think.

Ive heard its very easy to overbrake the RST if you go much higher than cossie fronts.

fitting discs does not improve braking unless ya do big brakes upfront

deffo upgrade the fronts.
4x4 cossie callipers and 2wd discs are the best setup on std rims, or st170 on larger.

(happen to have a set of brand new 4x4 callipers for sale if you need some)

i got a set of focus rs calipers ( 4 pot brembos ) and 315 rotors and bells custom made by the genius brom to fit in standard ford 16in mondeo wheels

im selling them for 400 quid, never been used ( well the pads and discs aint, the calipers are second hand obv)

that would be the fookign tits under 16ins comps and i know they would deffo clear, they only just clear the mondeo rims ya see
