Default Advice - car stereo ipod gadget??

Hi all, anyone got experience with those gadges that tune your ipod into the car stereo so it plays through the speakers?

What is the best one to get, have not aux input so needs to be the wireless thing for the stereo.

Heard some have are a bit quiet or get lots of interferance ??

They do work, however quality of them is pretty poor. Belkin are 'best of the worst'!

Belkin are shite!!

I just bought a monster one, a friend of mine has one and its great, where I currently live the only station you can use is 88.3 the prob is that 88.1 and 88.5 are both in use, so unless you have a good bit of kit your sound is crap.

check this out

im sure you can find them in the uk site. may be cheaper on the ca site tho

I tried all of them to be honest they were all crap. I have a 57 plate astra estate for work so didnt wanna change the sound system as it sounds fine as it is.In the end i found in halfords the harmann kit that they done years ago and it was half price at 45 quid. It plugs directly into the aerial socket and the aerial plugs into the harman kit. Then u have a little screen with a seperate controller so i just hide my ipod out the way. Its a hell of alot better sound and it looks like a little sat nav in my car. Its quite easy to remove too as its all hidden away behind the glove box.

SORTED!!!!

Popped into commet, they sell a belkin blank tape cassette with a wire coming off it.

Inser the tape into the car stereo, and plug the wire into the ipod - job done!

Cranked it right up to eleven lol!! and the sound is fine, on quiet parts between tracks, or pauses in the song you can hear the tape wurring, and a slight buzz, but nothing really.

14.99 can't be bad.

Plus, they do a cd version rather than a tape, same thing, push the cd in and plug the ipod into the other end of the wire.

All FM transmitter things are shit, better off with a dedicated aux input on your HU.

I was thinking of modifying an audio cable and then splicing into the speaker wires at the rear of the stereo.... but then i couldnt be bothered and just opted to save for a new stereo with an input instead
