bore size same.

when i fitted 4x4 i/c to my 2wd, i had to shorten the i/c to throttle body hose, and the compressor to i/c hose goes at a funny angle. this is due to the increased core depth of the 4x4 i/c.

so would it be better to use 4x4 hoses on a 2wd if you have a 4x4 intercooler?

i assume so, but don't know for sure as i haven't tried.

what you also have to consider is not only the difference in i/c size that changes the inlet and outlet positions, but due to different manifold, the 4x4 turbo is maybe in a different place, and the 4x4 inlet plenum is different.

When I fitted a 4x4 intercooler to my 2wd Sapphire, I just cut the standard hoses down to the rquired length and had no problems .

If you haven't got any, I would buy the 4x4 ones.

The reason i ask is because i've got a bit of a mix and match set up of 4x4 intercooler,4x4 exhaust manifold and turbo and 2wd inlet manifold.
Thats what i was thinking,4x4 ones.
Cheers for the replys.

The only thing you need to be aware of is that the T3 hose is smaller than the T3/4 from the airbox to the turbo. Otherwise just shorten your 2wd ones to suit .
