This is the thick type one RS Specialist has:

Obviously ( I hope) without the zip ties holding it together! This one was on my car at 476 bhp with no dramas!
You're welcome to it for some beer tokens

Thanks for the replies guys
I'll have a look to see if its the thin or thick type its a k plate model.
I was kinda hoping that another car dough nut would fit saving me fitting a second hand item (if its the thick type)
Cheers

Pretty easy to tell the difference, the earlier one is almost hexagonal shaped and the later one is basically round, think i paid £65 for it from Ford about a year ago, that was for a late spec 4x4 saph. I still have the old one somewhere I think, just changed it cuz the whole car was in bits to save me doing it later.

bmw X5 one is heavier duty replacement for the thin one...
you can convert to thin one but you will need to cut a bit off the spigoit and get a steel sleeve made to center the prop with the tail shaft

Looks like its the thin type:

The thing is its not actually broken or cracked. My reason for changing it was to get rid of the vibration that appears at around 80mph or over, its can be felt through the whole car. The wheel have been fully balanced etc so i know its not that. When the vibration appears - if you keep load on the car with the throttle it reduces as soon as you start coasting (without gas but in gear) it gets worse.
I guess balancing the prop's (inc the front one) could be next.
Any suggestion?
Cheers
