not a full system, i'm after just a bit of info and advice as i'm unsure of which direction to head in

right then, the dilema is how to make one pipe into two and the options are:

1 pipe goes into a box, 2 pipes come out the box

or

y peice

which one is going to be better?
and should i have the pipes in the sysmte female to slide over the pipework i've got y'ing off or would the main pipe be male with the y peice being of the female variety?

the piece in the 3rd pic you can buy these from demon tweeks they come in two half's, not very dear if i remember right

Couple of variations near the bottom....in stainelss 3" but they do just about any size you need.
