Default Any landscape gardeners on here? Hedge cutters?

Need some help or advice!

I've got a long garden, and need to get my hedge sorted.

Heres a pic

How can I get this back to a reasonable state of repair LOL

I want something better than just cutters as it would take me WEEKS to sort, can you get anything so I can just walk down the garden and cut it all to one level? Yes petrol chainsaws get stuck

This is the thickness of some of the branches (although this is one of the most extreme)

Could get a digger round the neighbours (we live at the end of a cul-de-sac) and rip the fookin lot out, alternatively some optimax and a blow torch <<missus dont like that idea tho

So any ideas, or have I gotta go at it single handedly with my loppers I bought and burn as I go?

How much would a pro charge to get this shaped like a long box?

If you can get a digger round the back you would be able to get a farmer to cut the top down to size with his tractor mounted hedgecutter.Once you get the height down do the garden side of the hedge with a powered hedgecutter, either electric or petrol.Take care though they're lethal things.

I did something similar to my hedge, which was let loose by the previous owner. I've got pics at home of the amount I trimmed back. Some branches required them to be sawn off.

Me and the dad-in-law just started at one end and I just lopped the branches off to try and keep it straight. It looked sh!te after we had finished as all the green was gone, and all there was left was the branches. It was on the road side of the house, so it didn't make any difference when looking out into the garden.
I year later and it has grown new buds and much more like a hedge!

A week or so later, my neighbour farmer said that he could have done it with it purpose-made cutting disc on the back of his tractor and could have made it all level, using the road as a marker!! GGGRRRRRR!!!!
Nevermind, all my cuts and scratches healed in a week.
