yes maria i'm from matlock in derbyshire i moved out here in january 2008, R5FORD it's 29 squares chap. i love it out here nice weather nice people just realy steady way of life i have a steady job and so do's the mrs so it's sound as. don't get me wrong if ya want to live on a beach it aint cheap but for me i'm 30 mins from noosa 40 mins to rainbow beach and frazer island is just a short ferry ride from inskip point it is sound for me i love this part of queensland. anyway i went up there this morning and the garage door has been fitted ahahahaha saterday morning gota love it so it all now locks up. i will take a few more piccs as it moves on oh yeah and i won't be walking up and down my lil pit bike has turned up to so i will take a picc of that to. next on my list is a boat

i won't take it the wrong way simon but you do realise we are in mid winter and it's warmer here than the uk aahahhaahahhahhhah i will never scrape ice off my windscreen ever again

How difficult was it to move out there? Paperwork, shipping etc

 

not to bad at all tbh if ya have a trade on the wanted list i am a fitter the mrs is a nurse so it was no bother at all. paperwork was a bit of a pain but it is doable yaself but can be a bit slow if you make a mistake it comes back and it all takes time. the mrs did all ours as we came out on a skilled migratory visa and got perminant residencey on that visa.

 

shipping was nay bother at all it cost me £1700 to get a 20ft container to brisbane customs where a pain but it's to be expected they only open 20% of the stuff so 3hr later it was all loaded back up and on it's way

 

Makes me wanna pack up my things and get on a plane...

 

My sister emigrated to Oz, last year, she absolutely loves it, meanwhile back to reality I'm sat in a ****************************************** bungalow in an absolute ************ of a town in a ************ of a country surrounded by a big fat bunch of absolute *********** losers, bunch of *********** they are. *********.

well it now has a bit of paint on at last. so 3 days 6 painters and it's painted out inside and out, oh and my transport turned up ahahaahhah








screens for the shower are orderd and will be here this week so plumber can finish off but it's all going well and will be done on the 21st of this month 11 weeks in total.



and my new wheels ahahahahah i will register it monday it will save on walking up and down to the shed

Ah ok, nice one. I was thinking you were a kitchen fitter or window fitter or something. Are Carpenters in demand over there? I'm an apprentice at the moment but wouldnt mind moving somewhere like australia in a few years time.

i havent seen it in the light yet as i only just got back after me holls last night i will take some more piccs today so i will upload them later matey. andy life's good pal still up to my neck with the house lol but it's getting sorted now i think it's all done apart from landscaping and paving but i will know more when i have been to see what has been done while i have been away. anyway i'm off up there now so i will see whats left to do chap
