the fuel gauge seems to be a bit eratic, any ideas how many miles i should get to a tank roughly? it's an estate btw.

i filled it up, £50 it cost and done 160 miles on the motorway and it's between 3/4 and full tank!

does that sound right?

I'd expect you'd get 350-380 miles out of a tank, but the second half will go way faster than the first half!

All fords I've owned seem to sit on full for 80 odd miles, then the gauge drops slowly, then when it gets to the last quarter, it drops like a stone!
