At half time, i thought the title race was back on, but fair play to sir alex, he pulls off a master stroke, brings howard webb on at half time, and that gives the mancs the inspiration they needed to go on and win the game

if the penalty had been fair then fair enough
i remember when there was a 5-3 finish in utd's favour a while back as well so it' snot like they aren't common, but there is something strange about playing at old traffod when you go and look at all the dodgy reffing decisions that have happend in the past there AND how much extra time get's plonked onto the end of a man u game

Im not bitter, if he hadnt give the ' never was a penalty ', and united had gone on to win the game 4-2, fair enough, they played really well, and deserved it, so i wouldnt have a leg to stand on, but tell me honestly, was that a penalty, and up until then, did they look like going on to win the game ?

I agree fella, as i said above, if he hadnt give the pen, and they won 4-2, fair enough, they played really well, and deserved it, yes they looked better after the break, but the penalty really gave them the inspiration and lifted the fans and players even more imho. yes as liverpool fan im going to winge, but there has been so many incidents at old trafford over the years, decisions, stoppage time etc, im starting to think its a conspiracy

Who gives a fuck? I think we all know Man utd would have went on to win regardless. They scored 5 past a spurs team that lost their bottle after going 2 up. A good team could have parked the bus at 0-2, even 1-2.
Wasn't as if that pen was the sole reason Utd won, they scored 5 ffs.

how many times have you seen teams putting balls in for the whole game and then the shots going wide, hitting the woodwork, lucky saves from the keeper, off the line by a player, someone getting in the way, etc
if the penalty wasn't there to spark the resurgance it could have gone anywhere
it's like you saying you missed a set of traffic lights on the way to work and then got held up behind a milk float for the rest of the journey, making you 5 hours late, but you didn't and got to work in 10 minutes so who do you pblame? your socks for being akward to put on, spent too much time brushing your teeth, eating your toast, waiting for the car to warm up, waiting for granny to cross the road and a zebra crossing?
it's all a matter of what if's
