If the postie did do then the event is logged onto THEIR own personal machine. If you're gonna steal it you don't scan it.

keep the faith!

I am sure it's the sender who has to claim and at the senders own risk.

The way it works is if the reciepient says they have not recieved an item its then up to YOU the sender to raise a query and get compensated, you can then pass this compensation on to the reciepient

The sender is the person who the contract of delivery is set up with and not the reciepient,

bottom line bruv, its up to YOU to sort it so sort it

I'd have thought it would have provided a more detailed delivery report such as - Was delivered to xxxxxx address on the xx/xx/09.

Walkmen still use paper and pen, drivers have the handheld scanners.

That signature was done on a handheld scanner so if one of the parties phones customer services they'll tell them every detail needed!

we've been doing this for the past 3 or 4 years

our vehicles are also tracked and the screens show when the van was in the vicinity and when the signatures were captured

they can track the vehicle so that they can confirm it's gone to the right address, all very simple if you have osmeone who is competent enough to use the system, unlike head office who don't know how to reset the thing if you can't log on in the morning

twats

ok, back to the point at hand, there is a screen which tells you the time you reached a drop, the time the signature screen was active, when you turned the signature from being on to confirmed, and when you left the vicinity

there is also a set up that shows you WHEN all this should have happened and ot how you if you are running later of earlier than scheduled so someone on the other end of the phone will have ALL this info, even if the drivers gone out of sync on his round
