i would STILL be working on the car
<this is not a for sale ad>
but i've run out of screws and bits to fix it further
so i've given up and have called it a day
anyway, it's taken a few days and the past 9 hours to get the filler cap and bits sorted as i bent the panel
on the positive side, i;ve fonnd the source of the rattling in the boot, the rear window was broken at some point and there was lots of little bits of glass still trapped in the covers
not so good news that whoever repaired whatever damage the car had had done to it was a bit of a bodge it and scarper merchant who just masked stuff and sprayed over the top of it, so when i was carefully prising panels and unscrewing screws, there was a lot of damaged panelling that i was uncovering
on another positive note, i also found out why i couldn't open the filler cap wihtout having mr tickle arms, said plum who repaiered the car after a shunt had put the cable on the wrong way so it wasn't pulling the pin out enough, and the little spring that springs the filler flap open was pushed in too far, possibly because the filler cap surround was not lined up
so, all in all, quite an interesting day
see me tomorrow and possibly get yourself a can of coke

but, seeing as this will be my last post of the evening before retiring to my nice and comfortable bed, everything that i need to take is in the car, everything that needs to be charged is plugged in, the clothes are ready to be worn (although i'm not sure if i would wear my dojj t-shirt or my fsoc t-shirt or my muppet crew t-shirt at the moment) so, at 5 in the morning i'll be in the bath preening myself ready to go to the pod, satnav programmed too :tpo:
