v band exhaust clamps.good???

Default v band exhaust clamps.good???

got to connect my turbo from over the gearbox to meet the exhaust under the car.my turbo has a v band connection on it so im gona have to use one anyway but would it be ok to connect a few bends of exhaust pipe with them so i can match the exhaust up?i really wana be able to get the car running on my own.

i like them, used them on my 3"system that i made on my fiesta rs turbo .

cheers mate.wasnt sure if anybody had used them to connect other bits than there turbo

make sure you get the clampco clamps form either CR turbos or AET Enginnering

Luca's full exhaust system is Vband and he has had no issues at all, well iv not heard him whining about it anyway.

Steven get some new pics up or a thread going, loved reading your old s2 and s1 threads

Use v bands all the time now, the seem to seal well and last alot longer after numerous strip n rebuilds. Just aswell they last as there not funking cheap.

They are used extensively in aircraft bleed air systems, so they are very very safe and very good at thier job. Just make sure you don't over-torque them, and give them a good tap all round with a hammer (soft faced) at about 66% of the final torque loading, as it ensures a good seal and makes sure the clamp is evenly seated

cheers guys.great news as i thought i was gona have to trailor my car to an exhaust company.will be able to do it myself now at work then bolt on in the garage
