Question on the law.

Warren's kit is unreal - I was waiting to get to the bottom of his post and read that it was something he had copied over from another site.. then I remember it was the "Medically Discharged!! Officially insane!!! " lad - makes total sense. Regardless of all that tho, I think u are wise to have some "safety" devices within a reasonable distance.
Good luck to the OP

I am absolutely stunned by this post!!
I normally sleep with a glass of water by the side of my bed, so if someone wanted to break in I could glass them I suppose.
Warren do you sleep in clothes so that you don't have to mess about getting dressed in the event of an attack?

If someone was going to come round and fuck you up, the would not say me and 4 lads are coming round,
they would wait until 3 in the morning and put your door through with no warning.

I'd just cry and shout "not the face, not the face!"
But seriously, you're on a tag and a load of blokes want to give you a kicking - I may be wrong but it sounds like you deserve it!!

I agree with it probably being scare tactics, no way im "telling" someone im going to do something bad to them, that gives them time to prepare.
Also fuck the whole "question about the law" shite, you have broken it before, probably for something trivial so i think if 4-5 guys are coming through your door the last thing on your mind should be the law, it should be how the fuck do i sort them out without loosing to much blood
Look through the local paper and get some lairy dog that no one wants, good for awareness and might take one out to give you a bit of a chance. Im guessing you have mates so inform them to keep phones switched on at all times.
Then sort your self out some good tools like warren, the problem is when you leave the house, if and when you do you need to be prepared but cant carry a blade or seroius weapon or your fucked from the feds anyway.
It really depends on how bad these guys want to hurt you, if its alot then your fucked really as if want to hurt someone trust me i`ll do it, whether its at there lunch break or there in taking a shit, there getting it
good luck

Coleman, no disrespect but if your in the situation where 5 men are coming to get you then you need to be changing your mates and how you deal with people
Unless youve managed to go on a steven segal style one man war on the criminals in your neighbourhood then i cant possibly see how this could happen unless your mixing with the wrong company/causing shit.
If you are serious about defending your property in that fashion, then you need a layered defence system, starting with a secure periemeter with things such as spikes on fence and gates like i have and a PIR light out back to give early warning.
Spy holes on door and good locks etc are a wise deterrant to the "thug" flying kick!! many old wooden doors will kick in with one good boot
Then you want some form of weapons a couple meters from door so if someone trys to force past you, you can step back a few leaps quickly and arm yourself. You need to keep the weapons relatively hidden from someone storming past eg to get you while in bed, as you dont want them arming themselves as they break in!! I keep an iron bar and hand axe near door hidden behind umbrellas (moved for photo!). The axe is a distaction to scare off cowards or to throw at serious attackers to slow them down while you pick up the iron bar to give them a bashing as it has good reach!
Obviously you should have something else on the ground floor. Knife block in kitchen is usually adequate.
Then you need stuff in your bedroom for a night time attack. I keep a sharp full size axe by my bed for that ultimate self defence. I also keep cable ties in my bedside cabinet so you can restrain the assailaints properly once they have been immobilised.
The only problem is if you HAVE to use the axe then you need a "go pack" of stuff within easy access so you can do a runner if you cant clean things up. I keep a stash on the other bedside cabinet with several spare mobiles, tons of pay go sims, survival kit, maps, photos for fake ID and obviously a bag to put it in. Then the plan is to grab only what you need dependant on the situation.
Also you need to consider the non face to face attack scenario which in all likely hood is things like bricks at windows, or more seriously arson. Its a good way to get you out house or kill you in it. Hence i also keep fully charged BA kit near my bed to give me extended duration fresh air so i can plan escape front or rear depending on if they are loitering in wait to beat me up. The BA is dual purpose as it fits in with my fire risk assessment for getting trapped upstairs in a non arson fire with enough duration to breathe fresh air until fire brigade have arrived based on worst case response times for my area.
I must admit i probably have gone a bit over the top in some areas but you cant be too careful and in reality i wouldnt feel safe until i had an array of firearms as extra backup!!

I do keep my old navy fire resistant overalls close to hand as they take seconds to put on. You dont want flash/heat burns to the bollocks if you have to escape from the burning building!! I do have proper jacket and trousers but they are currently being reproofed and having some tears repaired and patched
Hanley in Stoke on Trent! Not quite a warzone yet but dangerously close to the job centre, full of smackheads, drunks and CHAV scum so it could easily go horribly wrong quickly if i upset the wrong people, hence "PPPPPP".

No offence intended or anything but you're fucked up mate, someone needs a hug!
Suprised you'd keep a full size axe in your room, too big slow and heavy for the confines of a bedroom.
