Default Decking anyone? Deck lights?

Ok im building my decking in garden, dont get excited is purposefull more than glamourous but i was thinking of deck lights! I cant decide! Last deck we built for a customer had deck lights put in and at first i liked em, then i thought nah!

Anyone got any pics?

anyone know how to build decking? need it raised up above a paved area not touching the walls as i dont wanna mess up the damp proof course!

I have a set of lights that run around the edge of the decked area, just flick them on if it's dark and having a few beers, looks nice.

Went for blue on mine.

Ok Matt! decided against it now anyway and have started to lay the deck boards. Enough lighting in the garden we thought plus were having a log burner so that should give off a nice orange glow

Did this about a year ago, lights are on a timer with override. However, LED lights packed up last week (and they were dear ones) so will probably be ripping half of it up at the weekend trying to work out where it all went wrong.

Regardless, well worth doing in my opinion.

how expensive is decking, i would like some out the backgarden, its 3 steps down from door into garden so would have to be raised, approx 4metres x 5 metres
