I personally would have a 335i but whatever floats your boat at the end of the day.
Is a tough choice but as said above test drive both and whichever one you like better you should go for.

looking at a few threads on pistonheads it looks like a remapped one will be somewhere in the 370-400bhp region... wow

They do have a more reasonable effort at an LSD than other models, but think its still basically an electronic aid rather than a 'real' one... was a video on youtube of a 135i drifting round a motorway on-ramp and they mentioned the LSD thing in the comments, which I double checked myself.
With the uprated brakes etc it seems BMW were keen to make something a bit more capable.. which deserves the stonking engine.
That said, I'd probably go for an ex-demo/pre owned 335i M-Sport Coupe.. get a Quaife LSD and APs fitted before getting bored of the power and having the BPU fitted and mapped to take it to stage 1 power.

here we go, thats an 8:39.2 lap of the ring, 143kph top speed acheived on the lap (kph) and bhp/weight (306bhp, 1485kg) (thats for a non-MSport one by the way)
no figures on that website for the focus RS, but i can see the focus ST is actually quicker! 8:35!! didnt expect to see that TBH!

i believe it did a 8:26 at mid development and 260bhp, ford said they were aiming for 8:15
