I got a flat tyre on my old XR2 on the motorway about 10 years ago. I tried to change it, with the same problem as above (solid wheel nuts). The wheel brace slipped off and I punched the ground taking a lot of skinn off my knuckles.

I was that Pi$$ed off I threw the wheel brace through the offside rear window.

Nothing too drastic, but i think the most annoying ones were when i was trying to loosten a bolt, it suddenly came free and my hand jerked quickly, catching the end of a jubille clip and slashing a big gash in may hand, right through every layer of skin, it was really sore! (done worse than that to compare it too)
Also done the obligatory, stab your hands and underneath your fingernails with bits of aeroquip hose...

Ive got a couple of stories from my apprenticeship!

We had a car come in with a water leak, our spray painter thinking the system would be empty and undone the hot radiator cap but just by one twist, he looked down on to it wondering what the gurgling noise was and the cap blew of and broke his nose.

Another apprentice was doing an exhaust and borrowed my tools to do it, wee bit too much wd40 and the ratchet slipped of and hit his lip but cut it in half down the middle, looked agony

Lastly, we used to have all the dead tyre casings built up in a wall, against a wall and one of the mechanics was reversing the works van towards the tyres when an apprentice (thinking he would warn him from hitting the tyres) jumped behing the van with both arms outstreched, got caught between the van and the tyrewall and broke both arms.

That garage was a fooking disaster

mainly just the normal cuts, bruises and welding splatter to the old fella!

had to go to A&E to get my head glued back together the day before a cousins wedding tho after dropping the cast support bar from a tow bar for the 406 on my head while trying to fit it, wouldnt go on so had to loosen a bolt and as i did it pivoted straight down with the corner hitting my right in the middle of the forehead! wasnt happy, blood was everywhere!

doesnt look as bad as it actually was in that pic!

Drilled through my finger once when doing something for the car.

Was pressing down on the drill holding what i was drilling and the drill bit snapped and went straight through my finger and out the other side
