what length are cosworth rods,would these items be ok to use

Question is what are they going into and do you need those or would standard ones do?! as u can pick up a set of 2nd hand ones for £100 or less

im building up an engine and would like it to be a strong engine just incase i want to up the power at a later date

unless your going for 550hp plus then standard rods are fine, as long as they are straight etc, gets e checked out first

iirc correctly std rods are shorter than those ones?

As regards buying used rods - if thye need a recon (and they most likley will) then add £150 onto the purchase cost

so not worth getting those rods as they are to long,will keep an eye out for some standard rods then,would it make any difference getting standard items lightened and balanced atall

standard rods will be fine if straight and true

once you have all your bits, just get the whole bottom end balanced

ive just got to get rods and pistons to complete the bottom end,i have just found some other rods from australia,the other reason im looking at new items is like you say that standard rods will be fine if straight and true,at least with new rods i wont have to worry about them being off slightly

if you insist on buying new rods, dont buy any cheap crap, there is a hell of alot of shit on the market

try going to Cosworth directly
