Angry Finding lost things? £700 down - now found

I got a cheque from my last gig on monday, anyway, i came home and put the cheque on my desk and had a nap, now i cant find it

so basicly im f*cked for the month unless i find it, and i wont be getting another cheque for that gig,

i have turned the living room upside down, and its not there, so either the kids moved it,
dogs ate it,
or its vanished.

FFS

any tips on finding lost things? i just been tidying up eveything and binning shiz as i go along.

Do you own a wallet ? if not get one and next time put the cheque in there !

I am bloody awful for putting things down and forgetting where, the more I think where I may of put it the harder it seems to be to find, they usually show up when I least expect it

get yourself a cash tin and always stick the cash from your gigs in that. I did this when i kept on losing the cash from footie and it worked a treat, alot easier to find a big red box than a little slip of paper.

i know this wont help you now but just an idea

also you could maybe try speaking with the place you did the gig, ask them to cancel the cheque and reissue might take a week or two but at least you would get the money in the end
