No i have just asked around on a few of the Porsche forums i use and they all asked if i had recently had adjustments made , as its not common for them to work loose.

I had my car in for 4 wheel alignment on friday at a loacal VAG specialist Today when coming off a roundabout at slow speed luckily the back end started to shake,i managed to pull over and jack the car up to make sure nothing had snapped then limped the car home as i was only a couple of minutes from my house. Found that 2 of the rear adjusters for camber/castor had came loose and i could now move the rear wheel 2" with one hand when its jacked up.
So realy just a note to say even after you have had your car worked on by a garage its always worth giving it a check over yourself, just thankfull it never happend at the speeds i was doing earlyer in the day or i wouldnt have been typing this now.

Glad its all ok Neil.
Same thing happened on the Westy. I did a whole trackday with it I think!
Stu noticed it within 3 NANOseconds of me arriving on his drive.
My GOD I am dumb! I mean my front suspension is all uncovered! a mole could see what was wrong!

Lee if the ones come loose on the proker you would notice a whole lot quicker, i limped it home at 10mph max and was having to go from 1/4 turn one way to 1/2 the other just to keep it straight as the rear wheels tried to steer the front
The garage owner phoned first thing this morning and aranged to get the car picked up only problem was he sent a transit beavertail and there was no way the car would go on, so im now having to wait in for one of his mechanics to come and try and set it enough in my garage to make it safe to drive to there place. If its tracking atall it wont be going anywhere unless there prepared to pay for Ł600 worth of new rear rubber.

Cheers for the heads up Neil - ive seen a few people recommend Star Performance for remaps for VWs but to be honest ive heard a fair few horror stories about them too.

i know the cars still kicking about glasgow and its still going on those turbos 3 years later

Something like that would do my head in. Would try and get the money back and take it elsewhere or let them sort it a huge discount or for free and then take it elsehwhere to double check. Im the worrying kind though.

Well they never showed yesterday , so had it out with the owner last night on the phone and made it clear how dangerous it could have been so i was told someone would be with me first thing STILL NO ONE and its back of one.
So who do i need to contact Trading standard, all local car sites.....

Well should have the car back soon , they came and ruffly set it up in my garage then took it away. The owner has just called to say sorry and that they have found something ,that is now fixed and it was all there fault. Just glad they noticed something and came clean about it so my mind is at rest when driving the car.
Carlo im thinking of mibi changing the spring rates as it's fairly harsh justnow then taking it down to one of the Porsche suspension specilists down south for full corner weight and set up.
Might speak to Andy nearer the time.

To be fair, annoying and dangerous as the fault was, at least they have sorted the problem out and admitted fault, which is very rare these days ...
Although by the sounds of it they were properly caught out so couldn't really say anything anyway!
