Default Had a close call today

I had my car in for 4 wheel alignment on friday at a loacal VAG specialist Today when coming off a roundabout at slow speed luckily the back end started to shake,i managed to pull over and jack the car up to make sure nothing had snapped then limped the car home as i was only a couple of minutes from my house. Found that 2 of the rear adjusters for camber/castor had came loose and i could now move the rear wheel 2" with one hand when its jacked up.
So realy just a note to say even after you have had your car worked on by a garage its always worth giving it a check over yourself, just thankfull it never happend at the speeds i was doing earlyer in the day or i wouldnt have been typing this now.

The place was shut when it happend but have left a message to call me first thing. The car cant be driven as its crabbing down the road, so they will need to arrange transport and i will be checking it over before it leaves there ramps.
If it had came loose at 100+ there would be nothing you could do, at 10mph on the way home I was changing from steering wheel straight to half a turn to keep it straight line .

Star Performance

The actual alignment seemed good as the car did drive loads better but a bolt that is tight should not work loose in under 100 miles. Im waiting to see what they say in the morning but if there is any problems they will be speaking to my lawyer as it could have been very serious.
I will let them re align it but will be checking it over before it leaves there building.

Would never have let them do any tuning but alignment with a lazer machine isnt anything too technical or so i thought

+1

100mph in the right conditions (in a car that is so easily capable of it too) isnt any more dangerous than having a shit. Just because its illegal doesnt mean its dangerous.

The exact opposite actually I had been on a dual carriage way earlier on in the day and that was my first thought , that if it had came loose then not only could I have been killed but loads of other innocent people as well.
I just used the 100+ as an example mibi should have said anything above 30 but it is a car capable of nearly 200 mph.

Neil, serious question mate, you had a mega spec escort, how does the Porsche compare? I went in a std 996 turbo tonight for the first time, and I was seriously impressed, but just wondering how you are getting on with it? ... The only thing I am worried about is I would miss the raw speed of the Cos?

The Porsche just has so much low down torque that just doesnt let up unlike the escort that was faily shit low down then a big rush of power. My car has had a fair bit of work done , but from what ive heard just a remap to a standard car makes a big change.

So, what exactly is the point you are trying to make? ... Fucking retard ... Can't be arsed anymore, you are a prime example of a daily mail reading fucktard ... No one was talking about driving like a dick, 100Mph on an empty motorway is FAR safer than 30 in a 30 Mph zone outside a school at kicking out time....... It is called being responsible.
