Er... bit concerned youve got them in with the other fish?!
Pirahnas should be kept on their own!!!
They are indeed very boring fish until it comes to feeding time.. blood works are good when theyre little, throw a couple of crickets in every now and then, as they hop about making the fish have to work for their food, and when you do feed them mice, start them off on defrosted pinkies, then work your way up to fluffs!
just make sure you take as much fluff away from the filter as possible!

Ah Cool.. at least you know!
watching the crickets and locusts skate accross the top of the water is entertaining.. you can almost see the pirahnas plotting which way theyre gonna go!

I was watching them line up the gold fish earlier, sounds a bit savage, but i was getting excited, but they backed off and left it alone. guy at the pet shop where i bought them said they have already eaten today, so the goldfish is probs safe, for the time being anyway lol.

I bet the goldfish are well happy, you plonk them in their new home and they are just getting used to their nice new comfy surroundings only then to be faced by a Piranha
Nearest I got to a Piranha was at the Handcock museum in Newcastle. It was one massoof fish!!

Aye, know what you mean mate, ive got a big tank with tropical fish in, i dont have any fish in there that eat the others, all comunity fish, dont like my fish getting eat, but with the piranhas, thats why they do, its nature, tbh thats the appeal

They are a seriously boring fish to keep TBH, feeding time is quite good to watch if they are in the mood but they don't eat on a regular basis. When they do start on that goldfish tho it'll last about 45 seconds! I'd recomend feeding them little and often as opposed to a goldfish every couple of days!!! I now keep vegetarian phirana and can feed these out of my hand! (these also have nasty teeth but eat grapes + apple, ect)

At one point I used to have 5 red bellied piranhas the one's from the UK a big mistake as I should of gone for the import one's as they are 20 times more wild but the main thing to look after them is keep the water clean, keep the temperture right and make sure they are always feed as they can eat each other.

Theyre not that savage. I had 5 in a 3 foot tank. They need somewhere to hide and they aren't keen on movement in the room.
I used to put my hand in to maintain the tank and they never bothered, just sat and watched, mind you i didnt risk it with a paper cut. I used to buy like 20 or so neon tetras on a weekend which disappeared overnight. Also a slither of steak once a week. The problem with meat is the water condition suffers.
And yes they are fecking boring.
