k have a little prob with my 1.8 t golf gti 1999 t reg . The thing keeps killing number 2 coil pack. The coil pack gets so hot after 2 min while the other 3 are stone cold ?? has any body come across this before ??? its had a new maff new ing mod the car has done 100 thou and has a revo remap

have you checked how much current/kva it is putting out compared to the other 3?

coil packs on petrol vw are a nightmare, i had 3 replaced on my passat in the last 3 years.

Try changing the plugs mate. I have known coils to go down due to worn plugs.

are you using genuine coil packs?

Change the plugs and see what happens....

yes gen coil packs mate and changed the plugs to gen vw ones
