What small car for 20 mile commute ?
I've got a new job and need to travel around 20 miles each way with plenty of stop start traffic, was thinking of a Ford KA or MG ZR1.4 ??
I really hate diesels and want to stick with petrol if I can.
Cheers

I had a mk4 VW Polo and it was a cracking car for commuting, not fast by any means but comfortable, well built, looks reasonably nice, good residual value etc.

Testing the future
i would second the fiesta 1.25. i think they're brilliant little cars. i get mine back in a couple of weeks and am thinking of stripping it out and having it as a track car or maybe keep it as is for commuting on wet days if i get a job any distance from home

Got to agree. I use one every day driving into London and it does 60 miles+ a week and last month I filled it up for a grand total of Ł16.50
Insurance is Ł110 for 2 people aged 29 Fully Comp as well.
Can park in places that other cars can only dream of, Corsas, Fiestas, none of them can get close. Get a 899cc one as well and they are brilliant on acceleration (for what they are) while being insurance group 2
This is mine:
Be careful of very early ones as some of the parts are unique to them. Dash clock units and speedo cables, dash console parts and a few engine bay parts to name a couple. Easy to tell though, if the fuel cap is like this:
... then it is an early one. They only used this type for about a year, then went to enclosed caps behind a flap. Early ones always seem to smell of petrol when filled up and fuel ends up leaking down the 1/4 panel from the vent hole

A 900cc Scicento - slow as hell but the engine is well worn - it fills the air box with oil LOL
1.1 Cinquecento sporting - much much better and much more fun
